To the Reverend William Clucas
one of the Vicars General of this Isle
The Humble Petition
of Thomas Creer of
the parish of Lezayre

Sheweth That Elizabeth Creer, late

in the Month of April last past
and some time previous to her Decease
published her last Will & Testament
thereby Nominating & appointing
Yr Petr Executor of the same –
That Yr Petr is given
to understand that the sd Testatrix
was well intitled unto a considerable
Sum of money, lodged in the hands of
certain Gentlemen in the City of London
and apprehends that he, by the pro????
of the sd Will, will have a right to the
same:-
That the Sd Gentlemen
have lately intimated that they
are desirous of knowing to whom
said money is payable, as they are
now about to close their accounts
and pay the same very shortly; and
Petr conceiving that some other person
may apply to receive this money
if Yr Petr does not shortly establish
his right thereto; which may con-
siderably prejudice Yr Petr
the Legatees named in this Will.
