In the name of god Amen.
I Edward Creer of Ballvaston in the parish of
Andreas being now advanced in years and weak
in body but of sound and perfect mind memory
and understanding calling to mind the shortness
of time and knowing it is appointed for all men
Once to die.  I do therefore ordain this my last
Will and Testament in the form & manner following
First I commend my soul to God and my body
Unto Christian Burial.
I leave and bequeath unto my Eldest daughter 
Esther the sum of Fifty Pounds British which I have
On security in Balla Garrett Kk Bride as Legacy.
I leave & bequeath unto my Daughter Catherine
the sum of Fifty Pounds British which I have upon
promissory Notes (now in my possession) as Legacy.
I leave and bequeath unto my Eldest son John
All the Lands and premises now in my possession in the
parish of Andreas with all the buildings erected thereon
Where I Reside to be possessed by him when he arrives at
the age of Twenty Five years or after my decease on
Account of which (the sd. Lands [etc]) he shall pay or cause to
to be paid unto my two youngest Daughters viz, Jane
And Mary the sum of Fifty pounds British each as legacy
I leave and bequeath unto my son William
the Curragh part of  [close] "Hom" Lezayre to be possessed
by him when he arrives at the age of Five & Twenty years
Or at my descease but if in case he be disposed to 
leave the Island or be desirous of selling the said
Curragh he shall give his brother John the First offer
thereof at the sum of Forty pounds British
And it is my intention that the Interests of the Foregoing
Sums (or rather as much as be required) are to be
Expended annually to provide school & clothing for
My Children –
I leave and bequeath unto every person or persons
that shall Claim any right or title to my Effects the
Sum of One Shilling & Sixpence.  And to the
Witnesses of this my last Will & Teatament I give
One Shilling each –
And lastly O Nominate constitute appoint and
Ordain my beloved wife and my son John aforesd.
Jointly and severally? Executors and Residuary legatees
of all my Goods Chattels & Effects moveable & immoveable
of what Kind, Nature, or denomination soever –
Witness my subscription this 7th day of July 1842

At a Chapter Court holden
at Ramsey 27the October 1843 –
John Creer one of the Executors named
in the foregoing Will being a minor Esther
Creer the Executrix as sworn in Trust in
Court in the form of Law and hath given
Pledges for the Payment of Debts and
Legacies namely John Moore of Balla
-clugash and Phillip Kelly of Ballakelly
both in the Parish of Andreas.-

Whereas the Ecclesiastical Court of this Diocese hath this Day
granted Probate of the last Will and Testament
of Edward Creer late
of Andreas deceased, to Esther his widow in trust for herself and
John Creer her son Exors. named in the sd. Will
And Whereas John Moore of Ballaclugash in the Parish of Andreas and Philip Kelly of Ballakelly in the Parish of Andreas
have agreed to become pledges to the said Esther Creer & John Creer
Therefore, Know all Men by these Presents, that We, the said John Moore
And Philip Kelly hereby bind and
oblige ourselves, and our Executors, and Administrators, as Pledges to the said
Esther Creer & John Creer for the due and faithful Administartion of
the Goods and Effects of the said Deceased, according to Law.  Witness our
Subscriptions. This 27th Day of Oct. 1843

Know all men by these presents that Jane Creer 
of the Parish of Andreas Spinster doth own
and acknowledge to have been fully paid
by William Kennish and Esther his Wife of Andreas
the Sum of Fifty pounds Stirling being the
full amount of a certain Legacy [devised] to her
in and by the Last Will and Testament of her
deceased Father Edward Creer formerly of
Ballavastyn in the Parish of Andreas Probate
whereof was granted on the 27th day of October 1843
to Esther Creer the Exectrix in the said Will
named.  And the said Jane Creer doth
hereby direct and request that the payment of
the said Legacy be forthwith minuted and
accorded upon the said Will so that the same
may be and stand cancelled upon the Record.
In Witness whereof the said Jane Creer hath
hereunto subscribed her name this the 28th
day of June 1884

instrument personally appeared before me and
acknowledged the same to be her proper
act and Deed

that James McCormick of the parish
of Andreas doth hereby own and
acknowledge that he has received
from John Creer of the sd. Parish Executor
of the last Will and Testament of Edward
Creer late of the afsd. Parish deceased
the full sum of Fifty Pounds being
a legacy left by the sd. Edward Creer
to Mary Creer his daughter now wife
of the sd. James McCormick and
the sd. James McCormick doth hereby
acquit Release and discharge him
the sd. John Creer his Exor and ????
and all and ?????? the Estate Lands
and Premises of the sd. John Creer
from al further Claim or demand
for or on account of the sd. Will of
the sd. Edward Creer decd. [and]
he doth desire and request that
the sd. Will of Edward Creer be ???
and ????? cancelled upon ????
so far as respects the sd. Legacy
of fifty pounds left to his daughter
Mary now wife of the sd. James
