In the name of God Amen.
I Ann Creer (widow) at St John's of Ballahowin in the parish of KK German
being of sound disposing mind, memory, and understanding and calling to mind
the uncertainty of this mortal life, do make this my last will and testament
in he manner and form following.
1st I commend my soul to Almighty God in the Hope of a joyful Resurrection
and my body to a Christian burial.
2ndly I leave, bequeath and devise unto my three sons namely Robert, Evan
and Joseph Creer the sum of one shilling each as legacies.
3rdly I leave and bequeath unto my daughter Ann Woolcock the whole of all
my wearing apparel as legacy.
4thly I leave and bequeath unto my daughter Leonora Creer who is in America
the one half of all my worldly goods, effects, and properties of what kind
and nature soever this legacy shall be hers in the event of herself coming
personally to this island to possess and to use them.
Lastly I nominate constitute and appoint my daughter Margaret Creer my whole
and sole executrix residuary legatee of this my last will and testament and
barring all claimants with two shillings and six pence each as legacy.
As witnesses my name or mark subscribed this the 21st day of September
1857.
The said testatrix signed and duly executed this for her last will and
testament in our presence and in presence of each other we have hereunto
subscribed our names as witness:

At a Chapter Court held at Peel on the 30th day of April 1869.
William Gill one of the witnesses to the foregoing paper writing purporting
to be the last will and testament of Ann Creer widow deceased having made
oath upon the Holy Evangelists that said testatrix Ann Creer when of sound
and disposing mind memory and understanding duly signed and executed the
same as and for her last will and testament in his presence and in the
presence of Hugh Cannell the other subscribing witness thereto,
Margaret Creer spinster the executrix named therein is therefore sworn well
and truly to fulfil and execute the said will and to administer all and
singular the personal estate and effects of deceased according to law by
paying the just debts and funeral expenses of the deceased and the legacies
contained in her will so far forth as her estate and effects will thereto
extend and the law bind her and to return into the Archdeaconal Registry of
the Isle of Mann a full true and perfect inventory of all and singular the
said estate and effects with an accurate account of her administration.
Whereas the Eccl Court of the Isle and Diocese of Sodor and Mann hath this
day granted probate of the will of Ann Creer late of Patrick deceased to
Margaret Creer spinster the executrix
And whereas William Gill of St John's in the parish of German and John Gell
Esq in the parish of German have agree to become pledges for the due and
faithful administration of the said Estate by the said Margaret Creer
according to law.
Know, know all men by these presents, that we, the said John Gell and
William Gill hereby bind and oblige ourselves, jointly and severally, and
our Heirs, Executors, and Administrators, firmly by these presents, as
pledges for the said Margaret Creer that she shall well and truly
administer, all and singular, the personal Estate and Effects of the said
deceased according to Law. And in her default, we bind ourselves, and each
of us, for the whole, our Heirs, Executors, and Administrators, to be
answerable and responsible to the said Court, and to all parties interested
in the said Estate and Effects or the Administration thereof in the place
and stead of the said Margaret Creer.
Witness our subscriptions, this 30th day of April in Year of Our Lord One
Thousand Eight Hundred and Sixty Nine.
