In the Goods of James Creer deceased
To His Honour Stewart Stevenson Moore Esquire His
Majesty’s First Deemster and a Judge of the
said Division
The humble Petition of
Elizabeth Griffin of Ballavear
in the parish of Rushen Widow
Sheweth as follows
James Creer of Colby in the parish of Arbory died
on the 19th day of August 1904 having first duly made
and published his last Will and Testament dated the 18th
day of August 1904 whereof he appointed his wife Margaret
Creer Executrix.
Probate of the said will of the said James Creer deceased
was at a district Probate Session held at Castletown on
the 21st day of November 1904 granted to the said Margaret
Creer, widow, the executrix therein named.
The said Margaret Creer died on the 1st day of June
1910 without having fully administered the said Estate
of the said James Creer deceased.
Administration of the personal estate and effects
(with her will attached) dated the 18th day of October 1906
of the said Margaret Creer deceased was at a District
Probate session held at Castletown on the 21st day
of November 1910 granted to Edward Martin.
It is necessary that Letters of Administration of
the unadministered Estate and effects of the said
James Creer deceased with the said will annexed
should be granted.
There are no next of kin of the said James
Creer deceased resident on this Isle.
Whereupon your petitioner
humbly prays a hearing
hereof and that your Honor
may be pleased to grant letters
of administration of the
unadministered estate and
effects of the said James Creer
deceased with his said will
annexed to Edward Martin
or to some other fit and proper
persons and that your petitioner
may have such other relief
as is meet and she will pray
Ordered that this petition do come on to be
heard at a court to be holden at Castletown on
Monday the 5th day of December 1910 at 11.30
o’clock in the forenoon whereof all proper parties and persons
to have due and lawful notice.
Given at Castletown the 30th day of November 1910
